Credit: PeacockThe Paper season two was recently released and we already have an update on a potential third season!
The Peacock comedy series, which is set in the same universe as The Office, has seemingly performed well for the streamer, though there is not much info about how it’s been doing.
The television show currently holds an overall Rotten Tomatoes score of 80% among critics and 77% among viewers for both seasons combined.
So, will there be a third season?

A writer’s room has been opened for season 3!
While the show has not officially been renewed for a third season yet, a writer’s room has already started.
“We have a writers’ room that has been working for Season 3. It only launched a month ago, so it’s still newer, but we thought the second season was great, the audience response and consumer response has been really good, saying as good or better than the first season,” NBC and Peacock Scripted Content President Lisa Katz told Deadline. “And speaking about our strategy of NBC and Peacock complementing each other, we haven’t had the NBC comedies on yet, so we’re hopeful getting those comedies back on NBC will help the engagement on Peacock and bring more comedy viewers. We are eager to see how The Paper performs once St. Dennis and Reggie come back and when we launch Happy’s Place in Newlyweds.”
The series mentioned above at the end of Lisa‘s quote are all set to debut on NBC within the next few weeks, with new episodes dropping on Peacock the day after their linear network premiere.

What is The Paper about and who stars in the show?
The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch in the Emmy Award-winning series “The Office” find a new subject when they discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it.
In season two, after sweeping the Ohio Journalism Awards, Ned searches for a journalistic crusade, coming for a local private club and jeopardizing the paper, while he and Mare try to figure out their attraction, Esmeralda struggles to find her place, and the staff gradually mature as reporters.
The series stars Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Tim Key, Ramona Young, Eric Rahill, Duane Shepard Sr., Alex Edelman, and Oscar Nuñez.
All episodes of seasons one and two are now available to stream on Peacock.
