Curious to know about which character is returning in Days of Our Lives? We’ve got you covered. For a long time, EJ has been working on a secret science project with Gwen. While many felt it’s about Stefano’s resurrection, the clues strongly hint at someone else’s comeback.
Here is all you need to know about the character’s comeback speculation in the daily soap opera.

Is Lexie coming back to Days of Our Lives?
At the time of writing, it’s not confirmed whether Lexie is returning to Days of Our Lives.
In one of the episodes, it was mentioned that the person kept in the test tube is not Stefano. Stefano’s bones were found buried in the crypt, and Race ended up breaking this news to DiMeras. As such, EJ decides to discuss this matter with Dr Rolf, who could not understand how the bones ended up there. Further, the doctor informed him that Stefano cannot be revived from the dead.
Soon, the duo decides to discuss the resurrection of the person in the pod. The experiment seems to be a success, and Rolf is hopeful that “she will open her eyes again soon.” This statement has fueled fans’ speculation that the person returning is none other than Lexie. For the unaware, the seed of doubt was first laid in the big winter promo of DOOL. In the promo, we saw EJ showing Paulina in the cryogenic chamber.
In the next episode, Abe decided to seek help from EJ after the former ranted about “Lexie’s family.” Moreover, EJ spent Thanksgiving with the person in the pod. Seeing EJ’s soft behavior towards the person, viewers felt it might be someone close to him.
Another preview hinted that Abe and Paulina would face “an unexpected obstacle” and that Theo’s life would turn upside down. If Lexie returns, she won’t be happy about Theo becoming the CEO of her family’s company. As a result, Theo might lose his position, with the possibility that EJ’s son, Johnny, will replace him. Nevertheless, fans must wait for the upcoming episodes to confirm these developments.
Days of Our Lives is streaming on Peacock.
