Butch Hartman posts first drawing of Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda from The Fairly OddParents
Butch Hartman, who has worked extensively in animation over the years, particularly through his collaborations with Nickelodeon, recently took to his official X account to share a drawing of the earliest iteration of Timmy Turner, Cosmo, and Wanda from The Fairly OddParents.
Hartman shared an image of the framed drawing with the caption, “First drawing ever. Almost 30 years ago. The experiences since have been amazing.”
The drawing featured the three characters, with Wanda and Cosmo appearing with different hair colors than in the final version seen on television. The image prompted reactions from fans in the comments section.
“Time flies when you’re having fun,” one user wrote, while another added, “I love watching Fairy Oddparents. My favorite character is Cosmo. So many favorite episodes. Fairy Idol is one of my favorite musical episodes because of Norm the genie.” Yet another user said, “Thank you for sharing your vision with the world. Easily one of the greatest and one of my favorite cartoons of all time.”
The Fairly OddParents continues to be remembered by viewers who grew up with the series.
In 2022, The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder was released on Paramount+, with Hartman serving as an executive producer. It was followed by The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish, which also featured Hartman as an EP.
