Amanda Seyfried is reacting to buzz for her performance in You Can See Everything.

The 40-year-old actress appeared in the movie as herself, but she also portrayed Elizabeth Holmes in reenactments in the film. She previously played the businesswoman convicted of fraud in the series The Dropout.

In a new interview, Nobody Wants This star Timothy Simons praises Amanda‘s performance in the movie, and shared his thoughts on her possibly receiving an Oscar nomination, and she reacted!

Timothy Simon talks Amanda Seyfried’s Oscar buzz

“I would understand if somebody was like, ‘Well, this is a documentary. It’s not eligible.’ I don’t know how the rules of this work,” Timothy said on The Kyle Buchanan Show. “But one thing that I can say is that both times that I saw it, when she finally walks into the recreation of Nathan visiting her in jail, she does that sort of tippy toe hug and there’s a shot over his shoulder onto her face.”

“Both times that I saw it, my mind had completely melded the two people together in that when I was looking at her, I was looking at Elizabeth Holmes in a way that I can’t describe,” he continued. “And so in that sense, it would make sense that somebody would or that I would [vote for her]. And I do think there is a level to this of yes, it’s a documentary, but there’s also the sort of meta conversation around it of, yeah, it’s a documentary, but they are cutting from the real Nathan Fielder outside walking into the jail to the recreation of the jail and that is how a movie works, that they cut from outside to a fake space that they have built inside, and they give a performance and she is incredible in that performance.”

“I don’t know how the rules break out but just what I saw, the performance was incredible,” Timothy said.

Host Kyle Buchanan then noted that from what he understands, Amanda would be allowed to be nominated for an Oscar.

A clip of Timothy‘s comment was posted on the podcast’s Instagram page, and Amanda took to the comments to react, simply writing, “TIMOTHY,” followed by two heart eyes emojis.
