With the latest revelation that Amanda had been working with Aristotle Dumas, who is actually Cane Ashby, the relationship between Amanda and Lily has deteriorated significantly.

Christel Khalil’s Lily recently found out that Cane Ashby was behind the whole Aristotle Dumas deception. Of course, this made her furious with her ex-husband, but Amanda is also to blame in this scenario. Lily feels betrayed by Amanda because Amanda never tried to inform her about the truth, despite the two sharing a good relationship up until the big Cane Ashby reveal.

Michael Morgan opened up about this in a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest. She weighed the opinions and possible reactions of Lily and Amanad in this interview. “That will extend onto Amanda as well, because I think she was being manipulated by two people,” Morgan said about keeping the big Aristotle Dumas Ruse. “Amanda and Lily have had a pretty good relationship up to this point. So I think that there is a lot of betrayal that she feels on her side that [Amanda] didn’t just come out and tell her,” she added.

Of course, Amanda is not simply Cane Ashby’s friend. She is his lawyer and could not legally give away the secret. But the actress expressed that it would be a difficult process to explain this to Lily.

“There’s things that Amanda has to keep in confidence because this is a man that she works for, and from a legal standpoint, she can’t disclose anything that he doesn’t want her to disclose, she added, “But trying to get Lily to understand that, I think, will be an uphill battle for sure.”
