CBS recently announced that popular soap operas like The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful’s air time lineup will change. Previously, these daytime shows aired in the 12:30–1:30 PM and 1:30–2:00 PM time slots, respectively. Starting this month, there will be a shuffle in the schedule, leading to a change in their timings, which the audience needs to look out for.

Why are The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful getting new air times on CBS?

The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful will have new air times due to an extension of 10 Tampa Bay Midday. Instead of just airing for half an hour, this local programming will run one hour of live news and weather forecast.

According to TV Insider’s CBS daytime listings, the previous line-up was as follows:

• Local programming – 12:00 PM
• The Young and The Restless – 12:30 PM
• The Bold and The Beautiful – 1:30 PM
• Beyond the Gates- 2:00 PM

However, starting Monday, July 7, these timings will be modified. The recently announced show timings are as follows:

• 10 Tampa Bay Midday – 12-1 p.m. 
• The Young and the Restless – 1-2 p.m. 
•  Beyond the Gates – 2-3 p.m.
• The Bold and the Beautiful – 3-3:30 p.m. 
• Great Day Live – 3:30-4 p.m. 

This is not the first time CBS has changed the daytime shows lineup. Previously, in December 2024, the network changed timings for its morning and afternoon shows, which resulted in the soap operas receiving their current timings. Previously, before Beyond the Gates premiered, its slot was taken by The Price Is Right. (via TVShowsace)
