Inde Navarrette apparently wasn’t offered a role in Heat 2, after all.

A report about the 25-year-old Obsession breakout star claimed she is “on everyone’s short list right now” via Page Six earlier this month, and that she is “regularly” turning down “mid-seven-figure offers.”

Was Inde Navarrette Offered a Role in Heat 2?

According to that report, Inde was on the short list for the upcoming sequel to the Michael Mann crime drama Heat 2, set to begin filming this fall, but she allegedly turned it down for the upcoming X-Men movie.

She allegedly would have played Sharlene, a character originated by Ashley Judd, alongside Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio.

On Thursday (August 27), TheWrap reported that Inde was not actually offered the role. She had a single meeting with the director, but it reportedly never went further than that.

What Did the Heat 2 Producer Say?

Executive producer Shane Salerno added: “It’s simply untrue.”

TheWrap also noted that her X-Men co-star Adam Driver remains in talks to play Wardell in Heat 2, suggesting the Marvel movie would not necessarily have prevented her from joining the sequel.

“So no, she didn’t turn down a role in Heat 2 for X-Men, but she’ll be just fine,” the report adds.
