Jessica Lange still has a bone to pick with FX over ten years later!

The 77-year-old American Horror Story actress returned to the franchise for the show’s 13th season, her first in eight years. She last appeared in season eight’s Apocalypse.

However, despite her finally returning to the show, she is still holding onto something from over ten years ago when she starred in season three, American Horror Story: Coven.

Jessica Lange called out FX for having to drive themselves home from set

While appearing at an American Horror Story: 13 screening and panel during PaleyFest NY on Thursday (October 8) with co-stars Sarah Paulson, Billie Lourd, and more, Jessica called out the network for being “too f***ing cheap.”

“We had to drive ourselves,” she recalled, via THR, as Sarah remembered as well. “And that’s still a bone of contention for me.”

“We would drive ourselves home like at 4 or 5 in the morning, park on some street in the French Quarter, and find our way home,” Jessica continued, adding, “because they were too f***ing cheap!”

Sarah then laughed and covered her face. You can watch the moment here.

Jessica not only reprises her Coven role in the new season of American Horror Story, but she’s also returning to several other characters from the franchise, including from Murder House, Freak Show, and Asylum!

She recently told THR that she considered coming back to the franchise if she could reprise all of the roles she created on the show through the years.

“One of [Ryan Murphy‘s] favorite characters was Constance [from Murder House], and he mentioned bringing her back. And I said, ‘Well, I might consider if I can do all four characters that I had originated, and also work with all the rest of the actors.’ Because we were a repertory company, … and I loved that part of it, really, really loved that part. So it was those promises, and then I changed my mind about never doing it again.”
