Wondering if Otis is leaving WWE or has quietly stepped away from television? The former Money in the Bank winner hasn’t appeared on Monday Night Raw for several weeks, sparking speculation about his future with the company. But is he actually leaving?

Here’s what we know about Otis’ WWE status and the real reason behind his absence.

Did Otis leave WWE?

Otis is not leaving WWE.

The former Money in the Bank winner has been absent from television for nearly two months. Reports claim he sustained an injury during a match against Rusev on May 5.

After the match, Rusev attacked Otis and threw him shoulder-first into two ring posts. Officials helped Otis to the back, and he has not appeared on Monday Night Raw since. WrestleVotes reported that WWE removed Otis from its internal roster due to injury. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select later confirmed that Otis underwent arthroscopic elbow surgery to identify and treat the issue.

“Fightful spoke with sources close to Otis who claimed that he was undergoing elbow surgery in the form of arthroscopic to see what was ailing him,” Sapp stated. “As things stand, he wasn’t expected to miss too much time, but as is the case with injuries, that can change very quickly” (via Sports Illustrated).

Otis joins a growing list of WWE Superstars currently sidelined due to injuries. This includes Kevin Owens (neck), Bianca Belair (minor undisclosed injury), Dominik Mysterio (minor injury), Chad Gable (needs corrective surgery), Liv Morgan (shoulder surgery), and Zoey Stark (ACL tear). WWE expects Belair and Mysterio to return within weeks, while Stark will remain out for the rest of 2025.

Otis remains part of Alpha Academy alongside Akira Tozawa following Chad Gable’s heel turn and departure from the group. WWE has not officially announced a return date for Otis, and his status will depend on the recovery timeline following his elbow surgery.
