Following recent comments from Telfer, who plays Xander, there is a slight chance of things getting better between Xander and Sarah, which could avoid their custody battle. The upcoming episode will reveal if a legal war will happen.

Xander is determined to win the custody battle, so much so that he turns to Melinda to explore possible options outside the law. Although their relationship appears to be going downhill, Telfer has given the audience a slight hope to hold onto. He said, “It’s his first time being completely isolated and just forced to reckon with himself.”

Although he might come off as rude, Telfer reveals that his character still has feelings for Sarah and cares about their child. “He’s desperately in love with his wife and daughter. So he’s got to start scheming to work out some way to either con them or convince them or seduce them back into loving him again. And it’s not gonna be easy this time. It’s not gonna even be possible for a while this time,” he added (via soaps.com).

However, Telfer thinks that this time, there’s a slight hope that Xander might step back from the custody war. He reveals that although Xander and Sarah try their best to hurt each other, their mutual love for their daughter and desire to do what’s best for her hold them back.
