Brian Austin Green will always have ex-wife Megan Fox’s back.
After the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum slammed the pregnant Transformers star’s ex-fiancé Machine Gun Kelly following their split, the actor shared insight into his decision to make the post.
"That's not something that I normally do,” Brian told People in an interview published Feb. 6, “but it just really at the time, really got under my skin to read about his sort of take on it. So I spoke my mind, but then I've since come to terms with the fact that I won't do that anymore.”
The 51-year-old—who was married to Megan for 10 years—concluded that moving forward, he’s “going to shut up and just sit back.”
Indeed, he sent a stern public message to the “Lonely Road” musician about his behavior following their breakup, which he deleted shortly after.
“Just be honest for once in your life,” Brian—who shares kids Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, 8, with Megan—wrote on his Instagram Stories Feb. 2. “Stop caring so much about how you’re perceived that you will try and drag other people.”
News of Megan and MGK’s breakup came just one month after confirming they were expecting a baby together in November. And Brian’s recent comments weren’t the first time he’s gone to bat for his ex. Just days after the split, the Knots Landing actor called out the “My Ex's Best Friend” singer’s immature behavior.
“He’s in his 30s, isn’t he?” he said to TMZ in December. “In your 30s, f--k. Grow up. Like, she’s pregnant.”
Despite his aggressive callout, Brian—who also shares 2-year-old son Zane with fiancée Sharna Burgess and 22-year-old son Kassius with Vanessa Marcil—saw it as a sweet opportunity to strengthen their blended family’s bond.
“I just want the best for her,” he said. “I’m heartbroken about it because I know she’s been so excited and the kids are so excited for life and the change and all of that.”

“I hope that the best outcome that could possibly happen happens,” he continued. “For her, for the baby and for our kids.”
For Megan’s part, she’s remained quiet following her and MGK’s breakup. But it’s no surprise as the Jennifer’s Body actress previously admitted that she prefers to keep details of their relationship out of the spotlight.
"I think that what I've learned from being in this relationship is that it's not for public consumption," she explained to Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast last March. "So I think, as of now, I don't have a comment on the status of the relationship. What I can say is that it’s what I refer to as being my 'twin soul', and there will always be a tether to him no matter what."
