Andrea Newman (Showrunner)

Newman has passed on her showrunner responsibilities to co-executive producer Victor Teran for the upcoming Chicago Fire Season 15. Teran has been a part of the show since Season 10. It’s known that Newman is exiting the show, which she joined in 2012, on her own accord. She addressed her departure, further expressed gratitude for the opportunity, and the experience of getting to work with amazing individuals. She also regarded the show as her career highlight.

“Like so many others, I was inspired to get into TV writing because of Dick [Wolf], so what a thrill it’s been to work with him and the amazing Wolf team of Peter Jankowski, Rebecca McGill and Anastasia Puglisi. I’m so grateful to them, Derek Haas and the NBC and Universal execs who have been so supportive of the show all along the way. After 14 years, you really do become a family and working with this group will always feel like home,” she said (via Deadline).
