Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayFresh off The Boys finale, Amazon has released the Vought Rising trailer. The prequel series will follow Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy and Aya Cash‘s Liberty/Stormfront.
Vought Rising is set in 1950s New York, exploring a world long before the events of The Boys. The series will explore the “twisted origins” of Vought International.
What happens in the Vought Rising trailer?
“You know, if you’re working on something, maybe I could help,” says Soldier Boy. “I want to fight for the flag,” he adds, starting off the exciting trailer. The footage shows younger versions of characters from The Boys, including Bombsight. Early testing of Compound V results in more blood and explosions across the trailer. The trailer ends by teasing Soldier Boy and Liberty’s evolving relationship.
After Homelander shoved Soldier Boy back into the cryo chamber in The Boys, fans have speculated whether Vought Rising will play out in dual timelines. When pressed on the matter, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke said, “No comment.”
Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash also serve as producers on the show. The series also stars Mason Dye, Will Hochman, KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Elizabeth Posey, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith.
Paul Grellong will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, and Jim Barnes also executive produce the series. Vought Rising is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.
“One nation, under gods,” reads the description under the teaser. “Go back to where supes began in your first look at Vought Rising, coming 2027 to Prime.” Besides Vought Rising, The Boys universe will expand with The Boys: Mexico, a spin-off currently in development.
Vought Rising premieres on Prime Video in 2027.
