The first Vought Rising teaser played after The Boys finale’s theatrical screenings. It highlights Ben, AKA Soldier Boy’s, early desire to help and become a hero before his eventual transformation into the arrogant and hyper-masculine individual fans are familiar with.

This is evident in Soldier Boy’s dialogue, “If you’re working on something, maybe I can help. I want to fight for the flag. I want to be a hero.” Moreover, a lot of violence and blood is depicted, pointing to early testing related to Compound V, marked by brutality.

Most importantly, the footage shows Soldier Boy conversing with Clara Vought, AKA Stormfront/Liberty. This hints at the deep bond they inevitably form, which is frequently referenced in The Boys’ final season and is the catalyst behind the former giving Homelander V1.

Notably, showrunner Paul Grellong and series creator and executive producer Eric Kripke described Vought Rising as “deranged.” They said of the time period and premise, “It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought.”

Vought Rising is expected to launch in 2027. Filming earlier occurred between 2025 and 2026.

In addition to starring, Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash serve as producers. They lead a supporting cast that includes Mason Dye, Will Hochman, KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Elizabeth Posey, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith.

Meanwhile, The Boys comic creators — Garth Ennis and Darick Roberston, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz serve as executive producers alongside Kripke and Grellong.
