ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive look at the Unexpected Treasures teaser trailer, previewing the upcoming action movie about an alien on the run from an intergalactic bounty hunter.

What happens in the Unexpected Treasures teaser trailer?

The trailer highlights the unlikely meeting between Sam (Mike Manning) and Hartley (Olivia Blue), the former of whom is an alien trapped on Earth and trying to avoid a bounty hunter. Their meeting kicks off an escape from Sam, with Olivia dedicated to doing what it takes to help Sam get home.

Unexpected Treasures will have its world premiere at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 24, 2025. The film will also hold a special Q&A with the cast afterward, as part of a post-screening panel. Cast members set for the panel include Manning, Blue, Michael Dunn, AnnaMaria Demara, Lauren Han, and Jay Whittaker. Writer/director John Paul Ungaretti and writer/producer Christina Heller will also be on hand.

“Struggling to scrape by in the desert, Hartley’s world is thrown into chaos when she meets Sam, a mysterious alien on the run. As they navigate the vast Mojave Desert, Hartley must rely on local legends and an eccentric group of allies to survive,” reads the film’s official synopsis.
