In Q2 2025, U.S. publisher Tabletop Tycoon announced the acquisition of Dan R Rice III's Trailblazer game line from Mariposa Games (link); Jeff Chin and Andrew Nerger's Canvas game line from Road To Infamy Games; and a handful of game lines from CMON, specifically Blood Rage, Rising Sun, Ankh: Gods of Egypt, Arcadia Quest, and Starcadia Quest (link).

On July 7, 2025, Tycoon Games — the new name for Tabletop Tycoon — announced that it has acquired the Gamelyn Games brand, including the Tiny Epic and Heroes of Land, Air, and Sea game lines, both of which were created by designer Scott Almes.

Here's an excerpt from the press release announcing this deal:
This strategic move strengthens Tycoon Games' portfolio of innovative and engaging tabletop titles, reinforcing its commitment to delivering exceptional gaming experiences to fans worldwide.

The acquisition includes the critically acclaimed Tiny Epic series, known for its compact yet deeply strategic gameplay, as well as the epic, strategy-driven Heroes of Land, Air, and Sea line. Most notably, Tiny Epic Dungeons Adventures, the latest addition to the Tiny Epic family, has just concluded a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, surpassing funding goals and generating immense excitement among backers. This achievement underscores the enduring popularity and creative potential of these iconic game lines.

Michael Coe, Founder of Gamelyn Games, said, "After over a decade of building the Tiny Epic series with Scott Almes and our incredible fans, I knew it was important to find the right hands to carry it forward. Dan Yarrington and the team at Tycoon Games have a deep understanding of what makes Tiny Epic special. They've shown time and again that they value both creators and communities. I couldn't ask for a better team to take the reins. I'm confident they'll honor the legacy while continuing to grow the series in exciting new ways."

This acquisition coincides with Tycoon Games' recent rebranding from Tabletop Tycoon to Tycoon Games, reflecting its evolving vision to create bold, accessible, and unforgettable gaming experiences. The rebrand signifies the company's dedication to innovation and growth while staying true to its roots in crafting high-quality tabletop games.
