In a video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), one of the fans, while sharing an anecdote about bringing his daughter to meet Zendaya, referred to the actress as Tom Holland’s “girlfriend.” The actor responded swiftly and humorously, saying, “Fiancée.”

The clip has since gone viral and has garnered over 1.3 million views. While some fans have expressed their adoration for Holland’s gesture, many were surprised at learning that the MCU couple were engaged.

During the Golden Globe Awards in January 2025, Zendaya was seen wearing a diamond ring. This raised a speculation that Holland had proposed to the Euphoria actress. Following the award show, TMZ reported that the couple was, in fact, engaged. As per sources, the Spider-Man actor had popped the question over the holidays.

Later, another insider close to People shared more information about their proposal. They revealed that everybody in the pair’s families knew about the incoming proposal, but they did not know when it would happen. “He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one.
