Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayTim Tebow and Wife Demi-Leigh Reveal the Sex of Their First Baby Together! (Exclusive)
Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Tebow are adding a new player to their team.
The retired NFL quarterback and former Miss Universe welcomed their first baby together, a little girl, on July 6, the couple shared on social media.
"Our daughter is here!" Demi wrote on Instagram July 7 alongside a series of black-and-white photos of her and Tim holding their little one in the hospital. "We couldn’t be more grateful for the blessing and gift of this new little life."
And the 30-year-old provided insight into her birthing experience, sharing that she had a supportive team of medical professionals and her friend Hannah Janoe by her side to photograph "one of the most special moments of our lives so perfectly."
"Thank you to everyone who’s been praying with us over her arrival," Demi continued. "We are so incredibly thankful for all of the love and support we’ve felt."
As for their tiny tot's name? The couple revealed the moniker in a separate Instagram shortly after, writing, "We’ve been so excited to share this with you… Meet our daughter, Daphne Reign Tebow."
For Demi, the newborn's first name holds an extra special meaning.
"Daphne is a name that’s been close to my heart since I was a little girl," she explained. "I never got to meet my mom’s mother, but her sister, Daphne, stepped in as a grandma figure to me. She was so special to my mom and I — a tiny, kind and strong South African woman who always had shortbread in the house, was the epitome of grit and grace, loved Jesus, had the voice of an angel and made everyone feel seen and special."
And their daughter's middle name is significant as well, with Demi noting that Reign was "inspired by a precious little girl Tim and I have loved deeply for years."
Prior to Daphne's birth, Demi and Tim—who tied the knot in 2020 following nearly two years of dating—have provided several glimpses into their journey to welcoming their daughter into the world.
In fact, nearly two months after the former Denver Broncos quarterback, 37, and South African model shared they were expecting their first baby, the couple announced that they were having a girl.
"Getting to watch her grow each day and become the person God created her to be will be such a gift," the pair exclusively told E! News in March. "Funny enough, we both had a strong hunch she was a girl all along, however, we would’ve been thrilled either way."
They added, "Knowing she’s a girl has definitely influenced some of what we’ve picked out—the nursery is mostly neutral, with splashes of pink here and there."
