That storied history is apparent in its latest launch, L’Heure Bleue Eau de Parfum — a modern reinterpretation of a fragrance first imagined by Jacques Guerlain in 1912.

Inspired by the brilliant blue sky as sunset sinks into night, the intoxicating perfume captures the scent of the twilight hour. However, to devotees, it’s simply an “elegant masterpiece.”

L’Heure Bleue’s opening notes include subtle ozonic, pear and neroli. In its floral heart, iris and jasmine bloom, only to dry down to sultry vanilla, amber and musk — much as day gives way to evening. (The vanity-worthy blue bottle is even refillable.)

“It’s a perfume that enfolds us in its powerful yet gentle and intimate scent,” said master perfumer Delphine Jelk, the nose behind the reimagined scent.

L’Heure Bleue is suitable for day or night, so it makes a versatile addition to your fragrance wardrobe or a gift for someone special.

While stars like Meryl Streep and Sarah Jessica Parker are partial to Guerlain’s perfumes, the latest drop has already captured fans, with many saying it’s their new signature fragrance.
