The Rock recently announced his return on the upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown. The Great One took to social media to confirm that he will be back on the February 21 edition of WWE SmackDown at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

Interestingly, the former WWE Champion raised eyebrows by calling himself “The Final Boss.” He wrote, “Bold and disruptive. Unpredictable and dangerous. The Final Boss returns, LIVE on #SmackDown tomorrow at 8ET/7CT on @USANetwork.”

Speculation about The Rock’s status for WWE WrestleMania 41 has been at an all-time high. By referring to himself as “The Final Boss,” he has fueled even more excitement as the road to WrestleMania 41 has already kicked off. Meanwhile, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H weighed in on The Rock’s return, hinting at major change.

Triple H on The Rock’s WWE return: ‘Everything could change in an instant’

After The Rock announced his WWE SmackDown return, WWE quickly released a full preview for The Final Boss’ appearance. Meanwhile, Chief Content Officer Triple H added to the excitement by making a bold statement that fired up the fans.

The Game said, “When The Final Boss shows up at this time of year, the audience knows absolutely anything is possible. Everything could change in an instant.” With Triple H calling The Rock “The Final Boss,” fans are speculating whether The Rock will bring back his persona on WWE SmackDown.

Triple H has some comments in the press release announcing The Rock’s return on #SmackDown tomorrow:

He introduced the Final Boss character last year, fully embracing his villainous side during the buildup to WrestleMania 40 against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. The Rock’s last WWE appearance at the RAW Netflix premiere confused the fans. Many expected him to confront either Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns.

Instead, The Rock shocked everyone by thanking Cody Rhodes for carrying WWE over the past year. He also honored Roman Reigns with the Ula Fala after he defeated Solo Sikoa in a tribal combat match.

Now, as The Rock prepares to return to SmackDown while calling himself “The Final Boss,” fans wonder if he is gearing up for WrestleMania 41 or simply making a one-off appearance. With WrestleMania 41 fast approaching, his return could shake up WWE in a big way. Only time will tell.
