The Cat in the Hat stars Bill Hader in the titular role of the Dr. Seuss character. Other The rest of the star-studded cast features Matt Berry, Quinta Brunson, Bowen Yang, Xochitl Gomez, Paula Pell, and Tiago Martinez.

In October 2020, Warner Animation Group and Dr. Seuss Enterprises announced they were partnering to create a number of projects based on Dr. Seuss books, including The Cat in the Hat, a spin-off centered on Thing One and Thing Two, and Oh, The Places You’ll Go. There’s been little news about the latter two projects since the announcement, as Sneider reports it’s currently unclear if they’re still in the works.

The Cat in the Hat, which was published in 1957, was previously turned into a live-action film in 2003. Directed by Bo Welch, the movie starred Mike Myers, Alec Baldwin, Kelly Preston, Dakota Fanning, Spencer Breslin, Amy Hill, and Sean Hayes.
