Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe next Bachelor could be one to treat their heartache.
The dating reality show, which announced they were accepting submissions in May for their 30th season, has started reaching out to potentials suitors with a source telling us they are going back to their “old-school roots” by looking for someone who actually wants to fall in love.
Dr. Mike Varshavski — a doctor who went viral for his good looks as well as posting health advice online — has been contacted by producers, a source tells Page Six.
The 36-year-old family medicine practitioner was named “The Sexiest Doctor Alive” by People in 2015. That same year Buzzfeed highlighted him in an article titled, “Um, You Really Need To See This Hot Doctor And His Dog.”
Dr. Mike, as he is known online, boasts 15.1 million followers on YouTube, and 6 million on Instagram.
Season 30 is set to premiere sometime in 2027.
We hear the show is trying to get back to it’s “roots,” by finding someone “genuinley successful,” and “charming” who is “actually looking for love.”
Several past Bachelors have been accused of going on the show to get clicks and help their careers.
Grant Ellis, the show’s last leading man, was accused by a contestant of “clout chasing.”
The show first debuted in 2002. Ratings have been going down over the years.
In July, the U.S. Sun reported that they hired a new casting team to try and crank viewership back up.
“They need a fresh start,” a source told the publication. “They won’t be following the tradition of choosing someone who’s already part of the franchise. They want someone who’s serious about looking for love and not just in it to be an influencer.”
The source also told the pub, “He’ll most likely be in his 30s and will have a good career, good morals and is going to be a huge catch to any contestant on next season. It will be like the earlier years of the show, for sure.”
The show has spawned “The Bachelorette,” “Bachelor in Paradise,” and “The Golden Bachelor.”
The last season of “The Bachelorette,” with Taylor Frankie Paul was pulled just days before it was set to air when a video came out of the “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star throwing chairs at her ex, Dakota Mortensen, during a domestic violence incident.
