The Spider might face his biggest challenge in Spider-Noir Season 2
Spider-Noir showrunner Oren Uziel recently revealed that Season 2 might feature a scrapped plot involving a very dangerous character. Uzeil shared that they had originally planned for a powerful character named Sticks to appear in Season 1.
During a conversation with Slash Film, Uzeil stated, “There’s a character … shoot, I’m hoping I’m going to remember his name, called Sticks, I believe, I loved it for ‘Noir,’ and maybe I’ll use it in Season 2 if we do one.” He gave an impression of Sticks’ powers and said that “when he touches you, you die. And I love that idea.” He further added that Sticks would go on to lead the workers’ rights revolution after accidentally killing his boss by touching him. However, the show’s producers didn’t proceed with the storyline because Sticks was “overpowering” the other villains.
However, Uziel did tease the idea for Season 2 and added, “It was cool, but it was just kind of its own story. And also I think, it’s kind of a pain in the a**, as a guy who can just touch people and you die. I’m not sure how to … that might be a challenge for the next season.”
While Season 2 of Spider-Noir has not been confirmed yet, Uziel told THR, “One of the magical things about any private detective story is, if you want another story, all it takes is another client to knock on that door, and then comes a new set of cases, a new set of problems.”
