Spider Man Brand New Day still featuring Spider Man Sony Pictures

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has broken a huge record at the box office.

The Marvel movie is now the highest-grossing movie of all time at the domestic box office, which includes the United States and Canada.

Brand New Day surpassed the $936 million mark on Tuesday (September 15), passing Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ impressive gross after just 47 days in theaters.

It’s important to note that these numbers are unadjusted for inflation, so while Spider-Man: Brand New Day has surpassed Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ box office total, that doesn’t mean it has sold as many tickets.

USInflationCalculator.com notes that $936 million in 2015 would be about $1.3 billion in 2026 dollars.

At the worldwide box office, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has earned $2.452 billion so far, putting it in third place for the top-grossing movies in the world. The only movies to have grossed more are Avatar with $2.92 billion and Avengers: Endgame with $2.799 billion.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still earning millions of dollars every weekend, so the movie will likely continue earning more and more money for the next few months.

We recently learned some surprising figures about Tom Holland‘s salary for the movie.
