Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes to stream on Hulu soon

Hulu has confirmed the streaming release of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, bringing the long-running science fiction franchise to subscribers next month. The film is scheduled to arrive on the platform on February 2, 2026, as per What’s on Disney Plus

Directed by Wes Ball and written by Josh Friedman, the movie continues the rebooted Planet of the Apes saga as its fourth installment. The story is set many years after the events of War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) and explores a world fundamentally changed. The story follows a young ape named Noa, whose life is upended when his clan is targeted by a rising ape ruler. Proximus Caesar, a tyrannical leader who enslaves other ape clans while searching for lost human technology. As Noa sets out on a journey for freedom, he meets a human woman whose presence raises new questions about the future of both apes and humans.

The cast members include Owen Teague as Noa, Kevin Durand as Proximus Caesar, Peter Macon as Raka, Lydia Peckham as Soona, Travis Jeffery as Anaya, and Sara Wiseman as Dar among others.

Critically, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes was met with generally positive reviews. The film currently holds an 80 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 330 reviews. Meanwhile, the audience response has been similarly favorable, with a 77 percent rating on the Popcornmeter.
