Selma Blair stepped out for her first public appearance since her arrest.

The 54-year-old actress greeted fans at the 90s Con on Friday (October 16), posing for photos with attendees and signing autographs at a booth.

The event runs from October 16-18 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Conn.

Influencer Brad Deiter posted a photo on Friday night. It appeared to be from a meet-and-greet and showed him hugging Selma while she sat in a chair. The 90s Con backdrop was visible behind them.

“Having the greatest time at 90s Con,” Brad wrote in the caption.

Another fan shared a photo of herself and Selma in front of the same backdrop, with the Cruel Intentions star perched in a chair as the two hugged from the side.

According to the official convention website, Selma is scheduled to make appearances on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for autographs and photo ops. She’s also set to participate in a panel, though details are TBD.

Her arrival at the convention comes after she was arrested on Sunday, October 11 amid allegations that she bit a flight attendant, assaulted another person, and attempted to open the airplane door in the middle of the flight.

It was also reported that she had been placed in restraints during the flight and was arrested when the plane landed.

Earlier today, her rep shared a new statement with Just Jared about the arrest, saying she “experienced a medical emergency on the flight. There was no attempt to open the door of the aircraft. Selma did not intend to harm anyone.” You can read the full statement here.

Selma has previously written about biting three different celebrities in her memoir published in 2022.
