Selena Gomez‘s mom Mandy Teefey shared an Instagram post teasing her daughters.

Mandy took to her social media page on Sunday (July 12) to share a photo of Selena and her 13-year-old sister Gracie Elliot Teefey.

“My greatest accomplishments, love me or not,” Mandy wrote in the caption. “They are the coolest. I one day they will see what a bad a– I am and love me back as much as I love them. I’m just mom. Who never gives up when they throw me in the trash.”

She continued, “I tell ya mom you’re doing it wrong, maybe so, we will see. But no matter what I got your back.”

She also included a few memes in the Instagram carousel, like one of a neon sign saying “She outgrew what drained her,” and another of a doll in a trash can with the text: “Me when I have to run the business I manifested.”

Mandy appeared to be teasing her daughters, but some fans took it more negatively.

One user wrote, “WTF, Mandy. If you’re having issues with them, you shouldn’t post this on social media. People will take it out of context and keep hating on Selena. I don’t know what’s going on, but go talk to your daughter instead of creating drama.”

Mandy was quick to nip it in the bud, responding, “Girl. It’s [a typical] moms not cool joke. Calm down. lol.”

She has previously responded to rumors alleging she has drama with her daughter. Back in September 2025, Mandy fired back after a rumor emerged that she was offended at not being asked to walk Selena down the aisle during her wedding to Benny Blanco. Her grandfather, David Cornett had the honor.

Replying to comments on Instagram, Mandy said it was “ludacris” and found it “heartwarming” to see David walk her down the aisle.
