Samuel L. Jackson and Eva Green’s new thriller is now available digitally. Titled Just Play Dead, the film brings the two stars together for a tense story filled with deception, betrayal, and shifting plans.

The film is available through digital movie storefronts, including Prime Video, where viewers can rent or purchase it. As a VOD release rather than a subscription streaming title, the thriller arrived on home platforms following its select theatrical rollout on August 28, 2026.

The film follows wealthy criminal mastermind Jack Wolfe, played by Samuel L. Jackson. After federal agents corner him, Jack devises a plot to fake his death and collect a $30 million insurance payout.

He also plans to frame Nora’s surfer lover Chad for his supposed murder. However, Nora has a plan of her own and wants to kill Jack for real. She hopes to blame Chad and keep the fortune.

Jack stays ahead of the scheme by setting a deadly trap for the unsuspecting lovers. Their competing plans turn the tropical setting into a dangerous game of deception.

Martin Campbell has directed the movie from a screenplay by Dan Gordon. Campbell previously directed Casino Royale and The Mask of Zorro. Gordon is known for writing The Hurricane and Murder in the First.

The cast also features Eoin Macken, María Pedraza, and Jason Fernández. Producers include Valentin Dimitrov, Sagiv Diamant, Phil Hunt, and Moshe Diamant.

Rotten Tomatoes currently lists critic reviews for Just Play Dead but has not posted a Tomatometer score. The film carries an R rating for strong language, violence, sexual content, and drug use. It has a total running time of 97 minutes.
