Sam Smith has confirmed they are engaged to Christian Cowan!

The 34-year-old singer and the 32-year-old fashion designer were rumored to have taken the next step in their relationship, but they had never spoken about it publicly.

The “Stay With Me” singer just confirmed the happy news in The New York Times.

When did the engagement rumors start?

Apparently, a source over at Page Six says they were overheard talking about the engagement en route to the Met Gala

“From what I understand, it was a private engagement. They are over the moon, and from what I hear, so in love!” an onlooker told Page Six.

They have been together for over three years!

The couple first sparked dating rumors when they were seen walking around New York City in January 2023 together. At one point during the outing, Sam kissed the top of Christian‘s head, fueling the romance speculation.

They’ve attended the last few years of Met Gala together. Sam has also sat front row at several at Christian‘s New York Fashion Week shows since the 2023 dating news!
