Netflix has announced the Running Point release date for the upcoming basketball comedy series led by Golden Globe winner Kate Hudson. This marks Hudson’s first major TV project as the solo lead, after previously appearing in shows like Glee and Truth Be Told. In addition, the streamer has also shared new photos from the show, featuring Hudson with the main cast.

When is the Running Point release date?

Running Point will be available for streaming starting on February 27, exclusively on Netflix. Joining Hudson in the sports comedy are Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, Max Greenfield, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Roberto Sanchez, Uche Agada, and Dane DiLiegro.

“When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon is appointed President of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business,” reads the logline. “Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she was the right choice for the job, especially in the unpredictable, male-dominated world of sports.”

The series hails from writer and executive producer by Mindy Kaling (Never Have I Ever), Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen, with the latter also serving as the showrunner. It is executive produced by Hudson, Howard Klein, Jeanie Buss and Linda Rambis, with Jordan Rambis producing.
