An animated series born from a tabletop role-playing phenomenon is surging up the streaming ranks on Prime Video. This comes after the hiatus is over, and the numbers prove the wait was worth it.

The Legend of Vox Machina Season 4 makes the show trend on Prime Video

Less than two weeks after its Season 4 debut on June 3, The Legend of Vox Machina has become one of the platform’s strongest performers.

As of June 15, 2026, the show sits at No. 10 on Amazon’s Top 10 Overall list in the United States, fending off competition from heavy hitters such as Off Campus, The Boys, Spider-Noir, and Despicable Me 4. Within the narrower TV series rankings, it climbs to No. 7, joining titles like The Summer I Turned Pretty, Invincible, and Citadel (via Flix Patrol).

The commercial performance mirrors a near-universal critical embrace. At press time, Season 4 holds a perfect 100% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes. Viewers are equally enthusiastic, awarding the new episodes a 97% audience rating.

The Prime Video series traces its roots to Critical Role, a Dungeons & Dragons live-stream where voice actors Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham built a dedicated following.

A 2019 Kickstarter campaign sought funding for a single animated special. Fans responded with over $1 million in the first hour, compelling Amazon to order a full season. Since premiering in 2022, The Legend of Vox Machina has released three full seasons before the current run.

Set in Mercer’s fictional world of Exandria, The Legend of Vox Machina follows a band of adventurers turned realm protectors. Season 3 ended with the defeat of the Chroma Conclave, a dragon alliance that threatened Tal’Dorei. Victory scattered the group.

Season 4 picks up one year later, tracing the separate lives of the former party. That solitude is short-lived. A new threat comes up, demanding a reunion. The first six episodes are streaming now on Prime Video, with new episodes releasing every Wednesday.
