Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwaySupermodel Cindy Crawford’s adult son, Presley Gerber, died Sunday at a rehab facility. The model, who long struggled with addiction, was 27.
“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” Gerber’s mega-famous mom, dad, Casamigos tequila founder Rande Gerber, and model sister Kaia Gerber, 25, said in a statement. His death was first reported by TMZ.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said Presley died at an undisclosed rehab facility. An autopsy has yet to be completed.
Presley — who followed in his model mom’s footsteps and signed with IMG Models at just 15 years old — had previously made headlines for his struggles with substance abuse and mental health.
At age 19, Presley was arrested for DUI after being pulled over for speeding in Beverly Hills, California.
In July 2019, he pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charge and was sentenced to three years of probation, community service, and a DUI program.
The following year, Presley was photographed completing court-ordered requirements at a drug-testing facility in connection with his 2019 DUI.
In 2024, the Beverly Hills-born model announced he had battled a severe, multi-year opiate addiction and had a near-fatal fentanyl overdose that left him in a coma for a few days.
He later checked into a rehab to undergo treatment with the psychedelic ibogaine.
That following December, Presley revealed he was suffering from prescription medication dependency after seeing over 15 different psychiatrists who allegedly heavily medicated him without giving him a structured recovery direction.
The same month, he confirmed he was five months sober from alcohol.
Presley started sharing “Mental Health Mondays” videos on Instagram, posting in July 2025 about starting to integrate healthy habits into his life, People reported.
After he started working, he said, “The quality of life rapidly decreased,” adding it took “10 years” to make his way back to sports and fitness.
Just last month, his sister, Kaia, opened up about her brother’s decade-long struggle with substance abuse.
“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” the model explained in an interview with Vogue.
“We have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone.’ There’s only so much you can hide from the world,” Kaia, 24, added.
“And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them.”
Representatives for Crawford and Kaia, as well as the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
