Gore Verbinski’s critically acclaimed sci-fi comedy finally leaves theaters for your couch this week. The Pirates of the Caribbean director’s latest film lands on Hulu with an 81% Rotten Tomatoes score and a wild premise worth staying up for.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die sets Hulu streaming date

Hulu announced on June 16 that Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die will begin streaming on June 19 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. Gore Verbinski directed the science fiction comedy, which Matthew Robinson wrote. The film stars Sam Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chaudhry, and Juno Temple.

Briarcliff Entertainment released the film in U.S. theaters on February 13, 2026. It then arrived on VOD and digital platforms on March 10, 2026. The movie first premiered at the 2025 Fantastic Fest in September before its wider theatrical rollout.

The film follows a man from the future who arrives at a Los Angeles diner. He must recruit the right combination of patrons to stop a rogue artificial intelligence. The story marks Verbinski’s first directed feature in nine years.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die earned $9.3 million worldwide against a $20 million budget. On Rotten Tomatoes, 81% of 232 critics’ reviews are positive with a 7.1/10 average rating. Metacritic assigned the film a score of 66 out of 100 based on 32 critics. CinemaScore audiences gave it an average grade of “B” on an A+ to F scale.

Peter Debruge of Variety called the film “an unapologetically irreverent, wildly inventive, end-is-nigh take on the time-loop movie.” He also stated that “it takes a virtuoso of his caliber to execute on the movie’s intricate imagination.” The film also screened as a Special Gala at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival in February 2026.

Constantin Film bankrolled the entire $20 million budget after producers secured Sam Rockwell for the lead role. Principal photography took place in Cape Town, South Africa, starting in April 2024.
