Sol Rodríguez, who plays Sasha Bordeaux in Peacemaker Season 2, has a surprising pick for the DCU Batman role. Since the franchise was announced, there has been considerable speculation on the subject, with fans backing various prospective actors. Additionally, there is also a section of fandom that wants Robert Pattinson, who plays the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves’ Batman Epic Crime Saga franchise, to portray the DCU rendition of the character.

Peacemaker Season 2’s Sol Rodríguez reveals her choice of actor for DCU’s Batman

Rodríguez named English actor Harris Dickinson as her choice for DCU’s Batman.

During an interview with The Movie Dweeb, the 35-year-old actress was asked who she would like as Batman in the DCU, given her character’s close association with Bruce Wayne in the comics.

“There’s this actor… he’s a co-star of Nicole Kidman in Babygirl,” Rodríguez said. “Harris Dickinson! I think he’d be a great Batman!”

Notably, Dickinson portrays Samuel opposite Nicole Kidman’s Romy in A24’s erotic thriller Babygirl (2024). His other credits include the 2017 coming-of-age drama Beach Rats, 2022 mystery drama Where the Crawdads Sing, and 2023 psychological mystery thriller series A Murder at the End of the World.

As mentioned above, Sasha has a long history with Batman in the comics, despite being an A.R.G.U.S. agent in Peacemaker Season 2 and the DCU. At one point in the comics, she serves as the head of Bruce Wayne’s personal security. However, Sasha in the Prime Earth continuity indeed works as an A.R.G.U.S. agent.

As the DCU continues to expand, the speculations about the Batman casting will only increase until there is an official announcement on the matter. Several actors, including Alan Ritchson, Brandon Sklenar, and Glen Powell, have expressed interest in portraying the character in the last few years.

As things currently stand, all Batman Epic Crime Saga projects are entries in the standalone DC Elseworlds content label. Accordingly, Pattinson’s Batman is not part of the DCU.

There is one DCU Batman project currently in development, The Brave and the Bold, which presently doesn’t have an official release date.
