Paradise Episode 1 began streaming on Hulu and Disney+ two days before the show’s three-episode premiere on Tuesday, January 28. Hulu hasn’t yet officially greenlit the show for Season 2. However, series creator Dan Fogelman has reportedly planned a multi-seasonal run for the series. In a recent interview, he even offered a potential timeline for when the sophomore season of Paradise might come out.

Dan Fogelman hints Paradise Season 2 could get a 2026 release date

It was previously reported that Paradise creator Dan Fogelman had already mapped out a three-seasonal run for the series, with each season comprising eight episodes. As mentioned above, Hulu hasn’t officially renewed Paradise for Season 2, but Fogelman revealed in a new interview with Variety that he intended to release the next chapter of the series “at least within a year.” Notably, after the premiere, the remaining five episodes of Paradise will come out weekly, with the finale airing on March 4.

When asked about his plans for Season 2, Fogelman revealed that they were almost finished writing the chapter. He said, “We have almost the whole season broken, and almost written now,” before adding, “The fundamental problem in streaming is these shows that people get hooked on then go off the air for two and a half years. And so my goal is to have this thing back on television at least within a year.”

Given when the interview was conducted, Fogelman could be planning for the show to return in 2025. However, realistically, it will probably come out in 2026 even if it receives a quick renewal. TV production is a lengthy process, especially with shows that are supposed to have eight episodes.

Fogelman has written screenplays for movies such as Tangled (2010), Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011), and The Guilt Trip (2012). He is the creator of the ABC sitcom The Neighbors and NBC drama This Is Us. Notably, the cast of This is Us includes Sterling K. Brown, who also stars as series protagonist Xavier Collins in Paradise.
