After a prolonged wait of six years, One-Punch Man Season 3 has finally received an encouraging update regarding its plot as well as release date. Based on a manga series of the same name, which originally started off as a webcomic, the anime kickstarted its run on the small screen in 2015, before releasing a follow-up edition in 2019. Since then, fans have eagerly waited for updates regarding a third season without much success, until now.

One-Punch Man Season 3 to follow adventures of S-Class heroes

During the ongoing 2025 Anime Expo, One-Punch Man creator, ONE, shared an endearing message dedicated to the fans of the popular series. The manga’s artist, Yusuke Murata, followed suit by conveying a similar note, while also providing details regarding the release date of One-Punch Man Season 3 (via ScreenRant).

In his message, ONE remarked, “I am truly looking forward to the broadcast of One-Punch Man Season 3. We wouldn’t have been able to come this far without the support of our fans. Season 3 will delve deeply into the thrilling new adventures of the S-Class heroes.”

The author also explained that the upcoming installment in the franchise would see the S-Class heroes continue their struggle against the Monster Association. The third season would also pit Saitama against the menacing Garou, who now finds himself at the Monster Association hideout, after his second season brawl with the heroes.

At the same event, Murata shed light on the release date of One-Punch Man Season 3, noting that the edition would come out in October 2025. “This year, I’m thrilled to announce that Season 3 is finally starting,” the artist stated.

Crunchyroll corroborated this update soon afterwards, while sharing the synopsis for the much-awaited third installment. In addition, the streaming giant also announced the crew as well as the voice cast behind One-Punch Man Season 3, confirming Makoto Furukawa’s return as the titular superhero.
