One Piece Season 3 has received a significant update, as fresh production details offer a clearer expected release window. The updated timeline, confirmed through official listings, outlines when filming will begin and end. The announcement has generated significant excitement among viewers.

One Piece Season 3 filming date revealed ahead of Season 2 release

Netflix has set the production window for One Piece Season 3, confirming that filming will begin in Cape Town on November 24, 2025. The series is scheduled to remain in production until June 19, 2026.

This makes the third season one of the series’ longest shoots to date. The confirmation arrives before the release of Season 2 and answers months of speculation about Season 3 (via What’s on Netflix).

Season 3’s renewal became official during the One Piece Day celebration in August 2025. This follows months of reports suggesting that early preparations were already underway. A clearer picture surfaced in June, when Joe Manganiello hinted at a fourth-quarter 2025 start while discussing his involvement in the series. He noted, “We’ve taken a break between Season 2 and Season 3, I’ll be heading back later on this year, and we’ll be working on the next part of the story.”

The confirmation comes ahead of the release of Season 2, titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line. The second season had initially been considered for a 2025 launch, but Netflix has now scheduled its premiere for March 10, 2026. With Season 3 entering a lengthy production period and Season 2 arriving next year, the third installment is now expected to debut sometime in 2027.

Netflix has not yet shared story details for for Season 3. However, the third season adds Xolo Maridueña in the role of Portgas D. Ace, with Cole Escola joining the cast as the assassin Bon Clay. Production remains under Film Afrika Entertainment, FA Project Arcadia and Tomorrow Studios.
