Marvel Television has released two new posters for The Punisher: One Last Kill, confirming the return of a character from the Netflix era. The TV-MA-rated Special Presentation premieres on Disney+ today.

Jason R. Moore’s Curtis highlighted on The Punisher: One Last Kill poster

One poster confirms that Jason R. Moore is part of The Punisher: One Last Kill as Curtis Hoyle. He was Frank Castle’s moral anchor and best friend throughout the Netflix run, and his inclusion here hints that The Punisher: One Last Kill won’t ignore the street-level history that built the character.

The poster also formally names the villain, aka Ma Gnucci, a ruthless matriarch seeking vengeance for the deaths of her criminal family members at Castle’s hands. Furthermore, her name appearing in the poster aligns with what Jon Bernthal had recently shared that the special draws inspiration from Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s “Welcome Back, Frank” comic arc, where the character first appeared.

The second poster takes a more atmospheric route, trading direct character features for a striking red-and-black illustrated style. Frank Castle stands in silhouette at the center, gripping a weapon while countless guns aim at him from every angle. Above him floats the confrontational tagline, “Hey Frank.”It paints a picture of a man cornered, pulled back into a war he tried desperately to leave behind.

Jon Bernthal returns as Castle. Marvel has confirmed the 49-minute special takes place during the events of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Set in 2027, the story follows Castle after he attempted to leave violence behind and adopt a quiet life. That withdrawal fails. Marvel released the synopsis, “As Frank Castle searches for meaning beyond revenge, an unexpected force pulls him back into the fight.”

The special release on May 12, 2026, is one week after the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale. It fills a narrative gap that the season left open after all, Castle did not appear in Born Again Season 2, despite the story centered on Wilson Fisk’s escalating war against vigilantes. His absence raised questions that The Punisher: One Last Kill might now answer.
