Joey McIntyre is marking a major milestone in his sobriety journey.

On Friday (March 13), the 53-year-old New Kids on the Block singer took to Instagram to share a video celebrating hitting to years of sober and clean living.

Keep reading to find out more… “Two years sober today. When I say sober, I say it’s been two years since I had a Manhattan on the rocks or a vodka soda,” Joey said in the video as he walked around outside. “Can you believe it?”

“Two years. It’s possible, folks. If you’re thinking, ‘I could never do that. It won’t be fun. I’ll never laugh again.’ It’s not true,” he continued. “Is my life perfect? No. Is it better? Yes.”

In the caption of the post, Joey wrote, “#Sober #goodtimes (been clean and sober for two years – save a hit on a vape pen about a year and a half ago. I honor both dates cuz they are both important to me).”

After sharing the exciting news, several celebs took to the comments section to congratulate Joey.

“Welcome to the club, my friend,” Backstreet Boys‘ AJ McLean wrote. “It’s the best club to be a part of and I’m extremely proud of you. Keep it up buddy one day at a time.”

Beverly Hills, 92010 actor Brian Austin Green added, “Congratulations my friend 🎉”
