Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayFollowing the theatrical success of KPop Demon Hunters‘ sing-along version, it looks like Netflix and AMC Theatres will continue to work together in bringing more of the streamer’s original movies to cinemas. Besides the Stranger Things series finale, Netflix is also reportedly planning to release David Fincher’s The Adventures of Cliff Booth in theaters, with a much larger rollout.
According to Variety, theatrical plans for Greta Gerwig’s Narnia movie and Fincher’s Brad Pitt-led spin-off of Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 dramedy haven’t been finalized yet, since both movies are slated to debut in 2026. In addition to its previously announced two-week exclusive IMAX run, there’s also a chance that Gerwig’s highly anticipated fantasy movie might also be released on more theater screens beyond IMAX.
Why Netflix’s Knives Out 3 won’t be receiving a wider theatrical release?
Despite Netflix’s new partnership with AMC, not all of Netflix’s upcoming major movies will enjoy this deal. The outlet confirmed that Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery won’t be having a wider theatrical release, “because plans couldn’t come together for a larger rollout.” However, the Daniel Craig-led Knives Out 3 movie is still scheduled to arrive in select theaters on November 26 in order for it to qualify for the awards season.
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is once again written and directed by Johnson. For his work on 2022’s Glass Onion, the acclaimed filmmaker earned an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. Joining Craig is a brand new ensemble cast consisting of Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church.
