Netflix reveals Beastars Final Season Part 2 will premiere in 2026

During a special panel at Anime Expo 2025, Netflix unveiled the first visual for Beastars Season 3 Part 2 and revealed that the release date will be sometime in 2026. The upcoming second chapter of the final season will conclude the show’s run.

The cast of Beastars Season 3 Part 2 reportedly includes Chikahiro Kobayashi as Legoshi, Sayaka Senbongi as Haru, Yūki Ono as Louis, Akio Ōtsuka as Gouhin, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Juno. Beastars is an adaptation of the manga series of the same name from writer-illustrator Paru Itagaki. The manga was originally published from September 2016 to October 2020 and has 22 volumes. The previous 36 episodes of the series have covered up to the 14th volume of the manga. Accordingly, the last 12 episodes will likely encompass the remaining eight volumes or the Revenge of the Love Failure arc. Studio Orange will develop the animation.

Since their release, both the anime and its source material have received widespread acclaim. Beastars Season 1 has a 94% approval rating on the review aggregating site Rotten Tomatoes after 18 reviews.

Beastars takes place in a world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals who struggle with their inherent nature and the predator-prey dynamic in their society. The plot predominantly revolves around Legoshi, a young but large gray wolf, who falls in love with Haru, a dwarf rabbit. The series focuses on their developing relationship and their dynamics with the characters around them. It also explores the socio-political structure of their world.
