Nara Smith is opening up about having four kids before the age of 24.

The now 25-year-old influencer, who is best known for her short cooking videos, shares four young kids with her husband, model Lucky Blue Smith.

They are parents to daughters Rumble Honey, 6, Whimsy Lou, 2, and Fawnie Golden, 1, and son Slim Easy, 4.

In a recent appearance on the Aspire podcast, Nara defended her decision to have four children so young, and explained why she wanted that.

“I was 19 when I had my first and I had my last a year ago,” Nara said on the podcast. “So, I was 23. Just turned 23.”

Explaining her decision, she shared, “I wanted kids younger. I didn’t know how young, right? But I knew I didn’t want to be an old mom. My dad said he had us at 45. He said, ‘I wish I would have had you earlier because [of] my energy.’ He had a transparent conversation with us about it, and I saw that and heard him.”

“I saw that and heard him. And then when I met Lucky, he was on the same page about having kids early as well,” Nara continued. “So, it kind of just all slotted into place. And I couldn’t be more grateful because I don’t think kids hold you back. You just have to plan more and schedule more and outsource help if you need to.”

“At the end of the day, to me, it doesn’t make a major difference in my career or what I’m doing. And if anything, it just inspires them to work hard. Sure,” she added. “Is it a financial situation? Yes. Obviously that was something I was a little too young to grasp. Didn’t quite think about that part. But now that I’m a little older, I’m realizing it and I’m very grateful to be able to work as much as I do and provide for them.”

“It was the best decision,” she says.

Nara even explained that while she was dating Lucky, they initially wanted six kids!

However, after having two, she said it felt like a lot, but her husband “really wanted a third.”

“I have two siblings, so I was like, ‘You know what, I really like the number of three—so let’s have three,'” she shared. “And then our fourth baby was a surprise. She was not supposed to be here, but now she’s the most precious thing and I couldn’t imagine my life without her.”

Earlier this year, Nara opened up about her thoughts on being labeled a tradwife.
