Season 2 of the recently released anime, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, has finally got a release date window. The first season of the anime aired in April 2025, and the last one, Episode 13, arrived at the end of June. Based on the manga of the same name, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is a spin-off of the popular anime series, My Hero Academia. Additionally, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is a prequel to the main story and is set 5 years before its events.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2 to stream on Crunchyroll next year

A new announcement teaser for My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2 was posted on Toho Animation’s YouTube channel along with the release date window. As per the teaser, the new season will premiere in 2026.

Additionally, Crunchyroll announced that it will be responsible for airing the anime’s Season 2 in Central America, South America, North America, Oceania, and the Middle East.

The official account of the anime also announced the news on X (former Twitter) with a new poster. The post read, “TV Anime Season 2 Set to Air in 2026. Teaser Visual Released! A new threat creeps closer. The battle continues behind the scenes of everyday lifeーーStay tuned for more updates on Season 2.”

According to Crunchyroll, the anime follows the story of Koichi Haimawari, a “dull college student.” He wants to become a hero, but has accepted defeat in achieving that goal. Most people in his world have superhuman powers called Quirks. However, only some are selected to represent heroes and save others. The story takes a turn when Koichi and Pop Step “are saved by the vigilante Knuckleduster and get recruited to become vigilantes themselves!”

The My Hero Academia: Vigilantes manga is authored by Hideyuki Furuhashi, and Betten Court is the illustrator. It first dropped in Jump GIGA and then shifted to Shonen Jump+.
