July 7th, 2026 – Emerge from the City’s prison, uncover the secret of the Council and unravel a dark plot years in the making: the Season 2 of the roguelike boardgame Mini Rogue, by Nuts! Publishing, is now arriving in stores, with a new, standalone game, The Council, which plunges players into a dark, doomed city ruled by a corrupted regent and his secretive Council. The new season also introduces new expansions: Glittering Throne, releasing now, and Mountains of Torment and Beyond the Portal, coming in August 2026.

In Mini Rogue, the minimalist dungeon crawler released in 2021, one or two players delve into a deep dungeon, room after room, area after area, floor after floor, to find the Og’s Blood: a fabled and mysterious artifact said to be a ruby gemstone. They must choose how to spend their resources to be powerful enough to confront monsters and hazards that get more and more dangerous as the game progresses. Randomly generated levels and encounters make every playthrough a unique experience.

Mini Rogue: The Council is a stand-alone expansion that brings new dangers to the game. With multiple player configurations and new campaign content, it works both as an entry point and as a major expansion for existing fans. Players who do not own the base game can still enjoy the full experience in solo or competitive play, while owners of Mini Rogue unlock additional modes, greater card variety, and expanded player counts. The ultimate goal remains the same: survive the city and defeat the terrifying King’s Remains.

The new season also includes expansions playable with both the base game or The Council – their contents are fully compatible with the entire line.

Ideal for collectors and dedicated fans, Mini Rogue: Glittering Throne is a visual-enhancement expansion for the most memorable Boss encounters of Mini Rogue, with premium holographic foil cards adding visual impact and a sense of epic importance to every final battle. It features all the Boss cards from The Council, as well as the Bosses from the Mountain of Torments and Forgotten Guardians, plus the Rewards / Criminal card from The Council.
Other two expansion will be available following: The Mountains of Torment increases challenge and narrative depth in Mini Rogue, with mechanics focused on risk, madness, and powerful rewards, offering darker themes and tougher choices at every step of the dungeon. It contains new rooms that bring fresh and dangerous encounters, a new Character, the Condemned, and a terrifying new final Guardian, the Champion’s Remains, greatly enhance replayability and narrative tension.

Mini Rogue: Beyond the Portal is a character-focused expansion that reshapes the heroes of Mini Rogue by introducing alternative versions drawn from a mysterious outer world, introducing reworked stats, redesigned skills, and stunning new artwork for deeper replayability. It also features two new characters: The Occultist and her soul syphon, and the Tinkerer and his skill to disarm traps.
