From Simone Bellotti’s debut runway show at Jil Sander to Silvia Venturini Fendi’s technicolour collection for Fendi, Emirates Woman gives the lowdown on all the runway highlights you can’t miss for Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026.
Jil Sander
Simone Bellotti’s debut at Jil Sander was a homecoming as it staged its Spring/Summer runway show at its three-storey headquarters, marking a shift in the direction of the brand. The collection looks forward, standing on the roots of Jil Sander’s house codes, exploring pureness as a mode, not a limit: a tightly-edited expression of contrasts. There is seriousness as well as playfulness, tension and calm, through a display of somber neutrals and dusty pastels juxtaposed with vibrant hues and tactile textures, brought to life with meticulous handwork and obsessive attention to details and quality.
Fendi
Silvia Venturini Fendi honed in on her fantastical Fendi lens to reveal the future summer for Fendi. Set on a technicolour pixel maze designed by Marc Newson and interpreted by Nico Vascellari, there was a sense of elevated athleisure for SS26. Fabrications and silhouettes were recalibrated to demi-couture level, such as the inclusion of organza, silk, and wool. Fendi mixed prints, patterns, and embellishments, including the 3D flower motifs that brought the runway collection to life. Accessories-wise, the Baguettes came in cable-knit and Peekaboos were lined with sequins for the summer.
Missoni
Missoni’s Creative Director Alberto Caliri unveiled a rainbow of city chic summer essentials for Spring/Summer 2026. In true Missoni form, there were zigzag patterns and touches of bohemian on oversized blazers, textured cardigans, lightweight parkas, button-down shirts, and rolled-up shorts – which were mixed and matched with Missoni’s swimwear line – embodying the laidback elegance of the brand.
Etro
Marco De Vincenzo explores Etro’s metamorphic, perpetually in flux, mercurial language for Spring/Summer 2026.
The tense, ritualistic rhythm of La Niña scores this show. In the flux, everything blends: impalpable shapes that wrap and twist, accentuated by ruffles and fringes; precise tailoring illuminated by silky shimmers, crochet, and transparencies that reveal flashes of skin. Colors explode in the contrasting ruffles, in the multicolored inlays on leather blousons, in the pictorial motifs that flourish on brocades. And then there are wide-brimmed hats in laser-cut leather and beaded scarves, and finally, shoes with covered heels and embroidered straps, fringed totes, and softly shaped handbags decorated with charms.
