Harrison Ford‘s critically acclaimed TV show is welcoming a brand new cast member for its upcoming next installment. This comes over a month after Shrinking Season 3 concluded its 11-episode run on Apple TV.

Who is joining Harrison Ford in Shrinking Season 4?

According to Deadline, Guardians of the Galaxy vet Karen Gillan has been tapped to join the cast of Shrinking Season 4. This marks the Marvel star’s latest major TV project, after starring in the 2024 miniseries Douglas Is Cancelled. She will be joining returning series regulars Ford, Jason Segel, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley. Gillan recently worked with Segel on the dark comedy thriller film Over Your Dead Body, which Gillan produced and Segel starred in.

The acclaimed series is written and executive-produced by Segel, showrunner Bill Lawrence, and Brett Goldstein. Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Randall Winston, Rachna Fruchbom, Ashley Nicole Black, and Bill Posley are also serving as executive producers. Since its debut in 2023, the show has maintained a high rating throughout its run. It currently has an average approval rating of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.

At the moment, further details about Gillan’s Season 4 character are still under wraps. The next installment is expected to feature a time jump and an entirely new storyline for the show’s beloved characters.

In a previous interview, Lawrence opened up about the show’s future, confirming that they’re not planning to make Season 4 its last. “We aren’t going into this season as if it’s our last,” He said while teasing potential Seasons 5-6. “I was just with the writers, because we were figuring out the arcs for the next two seasons.”
