Betches is getting in on the mahjong craze!

Betches co-founder and CEO Aleen Dreksler teamed up with Mahjong Megachurch co-founders Jared Eng and Eileen Foliente to host an intimate evening of cocktails, conversation and mahjong in Los Angeles on Wednesday (September 30).

The event brought together stars and industry insiders for a night of games including Hacks actress Lorenza Izzo, Francia Raisa, Adelaide Kane, Watson actress Eve Harlow and celebrity makeup artist Ash K Holm.

Guests also included The Moment Live podcast pair Meredith Lynch and Rebecca Sananes, fashion influencer Cece Vu, Unwell president and strategic advisor Joanne Bradford, Tate McRae manager Sali Kharazi, CAA agent Cat Carson, Flavor Flav manager Rhiannon Ellis, Fox executive Brie Neimand, m.ph Beauty CMO Kira Mackenzie Jackson, podcast host and former Miramax president Becky Sloviter, Disney executive Holly Frank, skincare expert Eugene Han, producer/director Cassie Lambert Scalettar, marketing guru Ken Mulligan, Anne Walls (Chief Creative Officer of Full Picture Productions), and more.

In between rounds of mahjong, guests enjoyed delicious bites like tuna crispy rice and cold sesame noodles throughout the evening from Chef Jennie Trinh of Hungry Bear Catering Co. For something sweet, Bubs kept the candy cart stocked with plenty of treats for guests to enjoy throughout the night.

Aleen was in Los Angeles around her appearance at the Bloomberg Screentime Summit and used the occasion to bring together friends from entertainment, media and business for the private gathering by Mahjong Megachurch (the L.A.-based social club founded by Jared and Eileen that reimagines the traditional Chinese game as a modern community gathering).
