Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayLily Allen and David Harbour Break Up After 4 Years of Marriage
Lily Allen is speaking her truth.
Over a month after the “Smile” singer and Stranger Things’ David Harbour’s separation was confirmed, she made some cryptic comments about men’s dating habits.
“Aging is particularly inconvenient if you get your validation from the attention of men, which I do,” Lily explained on a March 20 episode of the Miss Me? podcast. “They seem to like them young, don’t they?”
But Lily’s cohost Miquita Oliver recalled their earlier conversation about the Netflix show Adolescence, arguing that men’s sexual preferences tend to be “the rule of the planet,” adding of Lily getting older, “it’s not your weird nuanced s--t.”
Lily, however, pushed back.
“Older women can see the unattractiveness of men better than young, dumb women,” she continued. “Which is why essentially, men like them young, dumb.”
Miquita lightened up the conversation by jokingly referencing the pair’s recent day-long fling with 60-year-old men in Kenya, noting that their preferences are just getting older.
Lily, meanwhile, assured, “They will still leave you for a 20-year-old. Don’t get it twisted.”
E! News has reached out to reps for David regarding Lily’s comments but has not yet heard back.
The “F--k You” singer’s spiel comes shortly after her separation from David—whom she first sparked romance rumors with in 2019 before their wedding a year later—was confirmed.
And while David nor Lily—who shares daughters Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 11, with ex Sam Cooper—have commented directly on their breakup, the 39-year-old previously shared she had received treatment for her mental health amid their split.

“It wasn't easy by any stretch and it's a journey,” Lily reflected on a February episode of her podcast. “It's a lifelong journey of healing. It's not a quick fix, but I've started meditating. I meditate every day now, at least two or three times a day. That's really helping me."
She went on to emphasize that she pursued the treatment for the sake of her young daughters.
“None of this is their fault,” she said. “It's my job to support them and make them feel safe and secure. I just don't think I was able to do that because of the emotional turmoil I was in at the time. But I do feel like I am now."
