Joey King recently suffered a facial burn due to an accidental mishap while cooking. As a result, her fans have become concerned about her health and well-being and are eager to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the injury.

Joey King took to her Instagram stories to recount her face burn, confirming that it had happened a few days prior. She shared a collage of selfies depicting her burns and the healing process. In the bottom right picture, she had ointment applied on her face while holding up a peace sign.

“I burned myself a few days ago by throwing shallots into a pan of hot oil,” The Kissing Booth star captioned her story. “I called my mom to tell her and she says, ‘See that’s why I hate cooking.'”

This is not the first time Joey King’s health made headlines, however. Last year, the 25-year-old actress mentioned that she was suffering from perioral dermatitis for seven months in a TikTok video. In the video, she asked viewers for tips on how to manage the skin condition. She also mentioned that she had stopped prescriptions to try and make it go away naturally, and had switched to a different skincare routine, only for the condition to come back, leaving her confused about how to tackle the issue.

Moreover, the Family Affair actress bleached her eyebrows blonde earlier this month, likening its appearance to The Lorax’s mustache. She defended her choice to do so via TikTok, pointing out that she liked it but that her mother, Jamie King felt weird about looking at her again because of it.

After she shared her images with her bleached eyebrows on Instagram, several celebrities reacted to it positively. “Rude to look this good without eyebrows,” Sabrina Carpenter commented. Meanwhile, Noah Cyrus said, “This is your look.”
