Jason Sudeikis hopped on stage with Mumford & Sons during their concert at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night (August 11) in New York City.

The 50-year-old actor surprised the audience as he joined the band to perform the theme song to his hit show, Ted Lasso, which recently premiered it’s fourth season!

If you didn’t know, lead singer Marcus Mumford wrote and performs the Apple TV series’ theme song with composer Tom Howe.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, about halfway into the Mumford & Sons concert, the camera panned to a special guest in the crowd, Jason Sudeikis, and he was just nodding his head to the music before smiling and running on stage to finish the song.

Later in the show, Marcus told the crowd to quiet down, “or I’m going to tick Ted on you.”

Season four of Ted Lasso premiered last Wednesday (August 5), and new episodes will be rolling out weekly on Apple TV through October 7th.

In the new episodes, “Ted (Sudeikis) returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second-division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”
